I recently had the chance to interview co-owner of Miann & Co and father of three, Terry, to get an insight into his life as a father. See what his kids say about him in the video above, and take a read to see his highlights as a father and how he'll be spending this Father's Day below. Enjoy What is your favourite memory of being a kid? Going on long car trips with my parents for holidays. We would leave very early, like 3 am and I can remember the excitement of being able to take my blanket and sleep in the car while my dad drives and there was no-one else on the road. What is your favourite memory of your dad? My favourite memories of my dad is mostly of him laughing. My dad is a real teaser and he teases till he gets a reaction. I remember how he used to always make me laugh and as a dad myself now, I can understand why he used to do it. It is one of the nicest things to hear your kids laugh from their stomach and just hearing them laugh is enough to make you laugh. What was one special thing you and your dad used to do together? My dad used to take me to work with him and I loved it. Being a plumber looking after the main supply of water to the town, he had to drive far and we would go off-road into the mountains to the river where the water was pumped to reservoirs and then gravitated to other reservoirs in town. Sometimes he even use to put me on his lap and I could hold the steering wheel to pretend I was driving. We would be out all day in the wild and being in South Africa there was always lots of wild life, especially Baboons that would cause all kinds of havoc at the pump stations. (So we would have to go often). I remember how nice it was to get out there and be totally alone with my dad and it just being the two of us with no-one else in sight. I would play all day and if we were there for most of the day my dad would make a fire and we would BBQ on it. What is your favourite thing to do with your daughter? My little girl is 15 Months and our third child. We have 2 boys whom are a little older, 7 and 10 years. I never believed it till now, but the relationship between a dad and his girl is very different to that with boys. You love them all equally, however girls seem to have dad wrapped around their finger from a very young age. I love just sitting with her next to me or on my lap (which doesn’t happen very often as she is very busy and doesn’t sit still) I love watching her experience new things, like when we took her to the beach for the first time. Seeing the expressions on her little face as she experiences stuff for the first time is priceless and something I want to hold on to forever. What do you enjoy most about being a dad? Being a dad creates a lot of enjoyment. I love seeing my kids grow up, but at the same time I wish they would stay little forever. I love hearting them describe things in their own words and it is very entertaining to hear the funny ways they try and figure somethings out for themselves. Their imaginations always intrigue me. I love being able to take them to different countries and travel with them, to see their faces when they experience something new and different. There is something so rewarding about hearing your kids talk about things they remember from previous travel destinations that you thought they have forgotten or did not notice. A dad gets to do all the fun things like trowing them in the air and catching them again, or spinning them round and round thill they hurt with laughter. What surprised you most about being a dad? There certainly are a lot of surprises!! No-one can coach you into being a dad/parent. Being responsible and caring for little people is by no means easy, but it is by far one of the most rewarding things to watch them grow up into self dependant human beings. I am always surprised to see my kids taking the next step and becoming more and more independent with each step they take. It is also scary and sad to think that they end up needing you less and less everyday. As a parent I think you have a constant battle of watching them become more independent, but wanting to have them depend on you forever and never grow up. How will you be spending this Father's Day? I’ll be spending the day with the family and having everyone around me will be enough. Anything we can do together as a family will make it a day to remember.
Newrybar is a delightful quaint little village located just outside of Bungalow, NSW. This picturesque village, while small in size, is big in impact. If you enjoy great food and wandering in beautiful and creative spaces, then this place is a must visit while you're exploring northern NSW. This is now our second visit to this old world little town and our must visits are as follows: Harvest Newrybar The award winning Harvest is top of my list. We visited their stunning produce shop and bakery and sampled some of the most delicious baked goods whilst enjoying the surrounds of their amazing produce gardens. This is a great place to take the kids as there is room for the kids to roam and parents to sit and enjoy a coffee. This winning combination is a must visit with kids. They also do hampers which are perfect for day tripping. Newrybar Merchants No visit is complete to Newrybar without a visit to Newrybar Merchants . Housed in an 1890's house, these amazing creative space are some of the work of some local creatives that buy in and merchandise there stunning spaces. The kids space Mini Mosh is a favourite stop for the kids and they stock some of our very own Miann & Co goodies, alongside some other super talented local Australian designers. Creative toys for boys and girls are in abundance and this gorgeous space will have you leaving with a little extra weight in your baggage. Landscape of Newrybar The surrounds of Newrybar are quaint little country roads and picturesque rolling hills. Take a drive to see the surronds and gorgeous landscapes of Newrybar. The views are a must see and you'll see them from every turn. This small little town is something that you don't want to miss and is a must visit on any northern NSW itinerary.
Sometimes you stumble upon a place that is complete utter magic, where imagery just doesn't give it justice. This is the amazing feeling you get upon visiting the gorgeous Temple Farmhouse. We were recently lucky enough to shoot our womenswear campaign in this beautiful house, perched on a hill and overlooking the surrounding farmland in Nashua NSW. It's hard to describe the peace and sense of calmness that one place can bring. You wake in the morning to wallabies playing outside and different birdlife frolicking on the surrounded well manicured lawns. Temple Farmhouse isn't an adults only retreat, which made us even bigger fans. They cater for all members of the family, making it one of the most family friendly places we have come across in all our travels. They have a considered pool with the most beautiful views surrounded by secure pool fencing , a swing set that overlooks the neighbouring rolling hills and an outside play areas for the kids complete with the most equiste tiles and outdoor play kitchen that will keep the kids busy for hours . There is a large kitchen and we recommend grabbing all your supplies prior to getting to the house, as it is a small 10 minute drive from town and once you arrive you won't want to leave. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with or without the kids, this place is perfect to rest, recharge and enjoy. They have a large fire pit that again makes the for the most divine view and is perfect to unwind by. And a hit with the kids, where they can do some marshmallow toasting. While we were lucky to have three days to experience the joy of Temple Farmhouse, we left recharged feeling like we'd had a two week holiday. I have included the link here for anyone wanting to experience this little slice of heaven, and heaven it is with the kindest and most thoughtful hosts. If you are looking for a place that will hold those family memories tight for many years to come, this is the place. Thanks to the gorgeous Temple Farmhouse for sharing your special place x
Road trips are one of our favourite things to do and after a successful road trip two years ago through the states, we decided that we would replicate it. However this time with a 10 month old that was teething and wasn’t sleeping – not to mention juggling a heavy work load on the road for the first 10 days. Would we do it again? Absolutely, but not in the same time frame we attempted. We loved all the places we got to visit this time round, however we would just slow the pace next time, especially travelling with three kids. First stop was Los Angels with the kids and we all had jet lag on epic levels this time around. We stayed at the super cool Freehand Hotel as apposed to Santa Monica. We love downtown LA and we loved our previous and short visit last time. Had we just been travelling with our 7 and a 10 year olds this would have been the perfect place to base ourselves. However the rooms were small and with a baby it was more on the difficult side. Plus, the car had to be parked in an offsite car park making it that bit more tricky with our little one. I guess I forgot how much the small things make life so much easier when travelling with a baby. As far as location in downtown Los Angeles the Freehand Hotel was in the perfect position. So convenient being opposite the wholefoods and walking distance to everything we needed. Wholefoods is the perfect place to stock up on baby food, nappies and wipes. Day one We went back and visited the Grand Central Market. This was a bit of a favourite last visit. The hustle and bustle, the good coffee (hello jet lag) and not to mention great for fruit or anything else you want to stock up on. It was an easy walk from the Freehand Hotel and our first stop after wholefoods. We had a late lunch at the colourful Olvera Street, where we all had a taste of some great Mexican. This place was like stepping into another world and seriously so hard to believe that we were still in Los Angeles. After filling our tummies with mexican, we headed back walking the streets of downtown and checking out all the cool and very amazing street art. The kids were blown away. We had sunset drinks at the roof top bar at the Freehand Hotel, which is well worth a visit, but maybe without kids. We seriously felt a little uncool with kids in town but the views were well worth one drink and the kids loved the fact they got to have a drink around one very cool pool. Day one is always a 'take it easy day' while we all battle with jet lag. I have to say the youngest member of our travelling crew seem to adapt the best out of all of us. We headed into Santa Monica for a quick bite to eat at our favourite fish and chip place on the pier, the Albright. Their fish and chips is a must try and one of our favourites. No trip to Los Angeles is complete without a trip to the Pier. There is something magical about this beautiful lit pier at night. It really screams all kinds of kids magic and our kids certainly loved it. Day two We ate breakfast at the Freehand Hotel, who did amazing food and coffee and had a fantastic atmosphere that got us up and going and ready for the day. We visited the Los Angeles zoo for the day. Our kids loved this zoo. It was one of their favourites and our 10 month old also loved the day seeing so many animals for the first time. As we have so many different age groups in our family this was a great day for everyone, even for the grown ups. It was set out well and it was a full day of walking and observing. After the zoo we ducked up to the Griffith Park Observatory to witness the sunset and also see the famous Hollywood sign. It was beautiful up on the observatory and we all enjoyed walking off the jet lag. Dinner was at a diner in Downtown LA before turning in for an early night. Day three We lost track of time and Mr T had headed out for breakfast when I got an alert to say that we needed to check out. We thought we had an extra day and jet lag was playing full havoc on all of us. We quickly threw our things together and the Freehand Hotel where super helpful letting us have an extra hour to get our things together and check out. Jet lag had its full grip on us day four, however pushing through into routine was essential for bouncing back and bulletproof coffee from whole foods was on high rotation. My favourite places that we visited with the kids are listed below. Things to see and do with the kids Griffith Park Observatory Los Angeles zoo Santa Monica Pier Olvera street Street art in Downtown Los Angeles Grand central Market We stayed at the Freehand hotel Los Angeles. This hotel oozed coolness and the rooftop bar was great. However with small kids under 5 years I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. While super cool and the food onsite being amazing, the rooms are small and having to park off site makes unloading with a baby a lot more tricky in busy downtown LA. Great Places to eat Grand Central market that has so many great places to choose from. Freehand Hotel for a great and substantial breakfast. Olvera Street for great mexican food. The Albright at Santa Monica pier for fish and chips.
Sedona was Day 8 of our US Road trip. We got up early and left Palm Springs. The plan was to have a quick drive through the south entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and have lunch here. We could not get over the difference in the landscape from the north entrance - so much flatter, not so much of the rocky landscape and so much less vegetation. After a quick stop we headed off on the freeway to Sedona. We had a picnic lunch at an abandoned roadside truck stop. I am not sure what it was but this place - it was a little eerie, but so beautiful. The heat of the day was fierce. This abandoned truck stop made for a great place to stretch small legs and have a good break to walk around the area. We arrived late evening to Sedona to the glowing cliffs. We had no idea what to expect when arriving to Sedona. The flat desert and different landscape made this area beautiful. We stopped over at Bell Rock to watch the sunset and have a quick stretch of the legs before arriving at our hotel. We arrived at our hotel Sugar Loaf, which was basic in decor but had incredible friendly service. It had a pool and was walking distance to wholefoods and some great cafes. Our first night food was at an incredible Paleo restaurant that was walking distance from the hotel. The food was unbelievable and catered for the whole family. Our boys loved this place and I highly recommend a visit to Paleo Brio Healthy Kitchen when visiting Sedona. The next day we woke up early as you do when travelling with three kids, one being a baby. We had a modest breakfast at the hotel – the boys loved the pastries that the hotel provided. We walked to wholefoods to grab some snacks and much needed bulletproof coffee. We had been making these in Australia and to see these available on coffee menus in the United States had us so excited. To be honest we don’t plan out our days, which we should when travelling to a tight timeframe. We have places we want to visit, but also have to work around how the kids are feeling, especially when travelling with a baby. Some days we could punch it further than others. So today was one of those days that we pushed it. We had so many places we wanted to visit but were super limited to our timeframes. To be honest a good week is needed to explore Sedona at a manageable and happy pace. We hired an off road Jeep for the day through red rock rentals, which was also just up the road from us. We did this with all three kids including the baby. We had read on forums that some of the off roading was rough. I'm not going to lie, we took the easy family friendly routes and still some of them where very rough and dusty. Would we do it again? Absolutely. We fitted our car seat in and had a muslin wrap that we popped over the baby when it got dusty. Did they love it? All three loved it and it was a successful day out with the kids. Exploring off road was so much fun and the map was so easy to follow. We were nervous about navigating ourselves, especially off road with three kids. But to be honest, the company had made it super simple and provide you with a comprehensive map and photos. They also provide the kids with goggles and safety helmets. I cannot recommend this company enough. A half day was perfect for us. By lunch time, the sun got hotter and it became the perfect time to return back to our hotel for a bite to eat. We finished off the day at the Slide Rock. I would say this is a must with kids. Our kids still talk about this incredible place. Be warned it is 'touristy', but not to the stage that the sights cannot be enjoyed. The canyon is pretty breathtaking and a cold stream runs through the middle. The water is probably the coldest I have ever dipped my toe into. The name slide rock indicates exactly that - a place where people slide down the rocks through the rapids. Both our boys attempted it over and over and loved it. They could not get enough of it. We got around exploring with a baby carrier. The walk down to the canyon is easy but steep with full steps most of the way down. This was definitely a highlight of our whole trip and we stayed in the national park until close. We loved it. Dinner saw us return to the Paleo restaurant after a huge day of activities and exploring. Although we had two nights we really only had one full day of exploring. Sedona had our heart and to be honest it is definitely a place we are looking forward to returning to as we felt we hardly scratched the surface. If you are also on a road trip or passing by, this is a must do spot. We stayed at Sugar Loaf. This place was a little dated in décor but made up for it in incredible customer service. In my opinion, a great location and walking distance to wholefoods and some great restaurants, but also out of the hustle and bustle of the main street. We ate Paleo Brio Healthy Kitchen I highly recommend this place. We loved it and returned twice. We visited Bell rock - Beautiful place to visit on sunset and some great walks around the base of the rock. Red rock rentals- Incredible company and so helpful with the kids. We found the customer service outstanding and strongly recommend this company for off roading and Jeep rentals. Slide rock national park - Absolute highlight for our kids and a great national park. Don’t forget to pack your swimmers, a towel and a warm change of clothes. We could of spent a whole day here.

After a quick poll last week we discovered that you would like to hear some of our travel stories. For anyone that knows, family travel is a big priority and we consciously make decisions according to the family budget and time each year that we set aside for travel. We travel frequently with the kids and only with the kids so we have made a conscious decision to share some of our favourite places that we have visited and where we have stayed over the many years. One of the first places we thought we would share with you was our Trip to Yosemite park. We had heard a lot about this beautiful park and after a whole 8-hour detour due to road closure, we finally arrived at Yosemite. We arrived very late at night due to our detour, but the sounds, the chill and the fresh air all instantly get you excited for a few days exploring this part of the world. Our first day we woke to a roaring river that was both beautiful and in full roaring mode you could feel the spray on your face. We had done a food shop prior to arriving at the park and were armed with picnic food for the three days. We had been warned that the food options were limited – so the picnic option gave us more time exploring the parks as we only had three days in this beautiful part of the world. The park was huge and we ventured on quite a few of the walking trails and explored so many of the different falls over the three days. Upon leaving we found fields of snow and were so excited to pull over and explore. If they get the chance, our boys still talk about our visit to Yosemite. It really was nice to slow the pace on our American Road trip and take three days to walk and explore. STAY Yosemite View Lodge Although the interiors where dated it was clean, breakfast was amazing and our kids loved the indoor pool after a day out exploring the parks. We also loved that they had washing machines and dryers that we could catch up on some washing without eating into our American Road trip itinerary. EAT We ate at the hotel and we also did a shop at a wholefoods store prior to arriving. This allowed us to have picnic food for the three days. Exploring the park at your own pace allowed for you to stop as you please at some stunning picnic places. SEE We only scratched the surface of Yosemite but there are so many places to walk, sit by the lake to take in the scenery and just explore the area. There really was so much to do and we enjoyed using this part of our trip to let the boys run and explore.
My favourite time of the year is the school holidays. I'm not sure about you but since our boys have hit school age it feels like time travels faster then ever before. We always make the most of the school holidays. Being a business owner, life can sometimes be crazy. Holiday time slows the pace and gives us the time to really unplug and enjoy the company of our kids. With the holidays emerging I always find that our kids run low on clothes that actually fit. School holidays often mean some kind of clothing shopping or wearing their latest pants as three quarters (whoops). With our sizes now going up to size 5 years, our clothing is both stylish and practical and make the perfect winter staples. With a great range of styles and colours, there's sure to be something in our collection your little one will love and wear time and time again. Made from natural fibres our clothing wears and washes well and not to mention are super comfortable as the fabric breathes. See our picks for holiday outfits below. We recently had the opportunity to have a short stay in Noosa. We had long been told that it was the perfect family holiday and to be honest this place did not disappoint. Located 90 minute drive north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa is home to some of the best beaches in Queensland. In 2017 Noosa was rated in the top three beaches in the South Pacific by the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards. These postcard perfect beaches surrounded by tropical forests are the ideal place for families with their blue, transparent, calm waters and perfect white soft sand. Our stay was short and it was more like a taster - but no doubt we will be back again with our family. See below some of our favourite things to do The Coastal Track Noosa has so many great walking trails. The kids were always up with the early sunrises, so we used the opportunity to walk some of the beautiful costal tracks. Hasting Street Whilst it might not be kid heaven, it was shopping heaven. A great place to grab a coffee or smoothie post walking, and to browse all the gorgeous shops. One particular homeware store was Signature on Hastings, which we adored! Fish and Chips on the River Our pick for Fish and Chips was the Red Emperor Fish & Chips, which had the most beautiful fresh seafood. Great to get takeaway and head down to the river for a relaxed bite to eat, plus the kids can burn off the last of their energy. Gelato Our nearly 9 and 6 year old claimed that Noosa had the 'best gelato ever'. This was a big call considering these guys have had the real deal in Italy. Their favourite ice-cream ever was Massimo's Gelateria, situated on Hasting Street. Be sure to treat the kids (and yourselves) to this delicious treat! We are so glad we finally got to visit a place that has been long loved by fellow friends and families and I have to say it did not disappoint. If you have been thinking about taking a trip with the kids don't wait as there are so many fun memories to be made. Rebecca x HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS 1. Leopard Print Fringe Pre Walkers | 2. In need of a break from work, as we haven’t had any time off in the last 6 months, I think we needed and deserved this one! Leaving work early Thursday, we headed straight for the airport and headed for Hobart! When we arrived, we had an early dinner and headed straight to bed, ready for our holiday to begin! Friday we decided to have a relaxing day, heading out to the infamous museum called MONA. It is all about old and new age art and intertwining the two together. I have always wanted to visit, as we have been to Tasmania before, but never had the chance. This time I made sure we went, and I guarantee it is worth it. Our boys absolutely loved it too, unsure whether 2 primary school kids would enjoy it, but they had a blast. We spent nearly the whole day here, having a break mid way for lunch. I would recommend this as one of the MUST VISIT places. Friday night we walked along the harbour of Hobart, which was absolutely stunning. The trees have fairy lights hung over them, making the walk very magical. We settled on an Italian restaurant, lots of pasta and lots of bread, just what we needed. After dinner we walked along the pier and admired the views, whilst burning off dinner. Saturday morning, we headed out early to have a feast for breakfast of eggs, bacon and sourdough, or pancakes for the boys. We then had a wander through the weekly Salamanca market. It is decked out with handmade and local creations, filled with quirky and unique gifts, along with delicious food and drinks. We then headed for our next destination, 3 hours away along the long windy road to Bicheno. We hired a car at the airport so we could get around with ease and comfort. We stopped off for a break at Freycinet National Park. It added more time to our trip, but so worth it. This is about 2 hours from Hobart and has the most stunning views. We went for a walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout. This takes about an hour return, and you end up at an amazing white sand beach. We kept driving and stopped off at a beach further along the road. The boys jumped out of the car and headed straight for the rock pools. They loved it here, looking for any creatures they can find. Despite the fact that it winter, they still managed to go for a dip in the water. Thirty minutes passed and we arrived at Bicheno. We booked a house to stay in whilst we spent a few days up here. Walking out the back of the house, we stepped onto our own private beach! This was unreal, we couldn’t believe it, and we loved every second of it. We spent the rest of the day eating and walking along the beach. We ended up at a blowhole; the boys were blown away, literally. I have never seen one before, and from the expression on the boy’s faces you could tell they haven’t either. Sunday we headed out to spend the day at Nature World. This is a very hands-on experience and perfect if you have little ones. They have everything here from snakes to wombats to Tassie devils. Despite the chill, we spent a lot of time outside, feeding and petting all the different animals. We set aside an entire day to visit here, and trust me you need it. They have walk through aviaries, if you are lucky enough some of the birds may sit on your shoulder or head. Being immersed in a huge enclosure full of all different birds, big and small is a lot of fun. They have a restaurant here as well, so no need to rush around; lunch is all done for you. Monday we decided to go for a drive around the area and do a bit of exploring. We stumbled across a berry farm that specialised in our favourite strawberries. You get a little bucket and are free to collect as little or as much as you want. Our boys really enjoyed this, picking and tasting all our own strawberries. We may have picked more than we could eat, but we ended up buying some ice cream later and had them together for dessert. Monday night we headed out and had an amazing dinner at a seafood restaurant. Tasmania has some of the best fish you will ever find. If you ever visit, you MUST have a seafood dinner or lunch at least once. You will end up having it more than once after trying it... I know I did! The boys had a simple meal of just fish and chips, and we opted for a seafood marinara. They were both absolutely delectable. Tuesday we headed back to Hobart. We ended up staying in a small house in Sandy Bay, just out of Hobart. We walked around this small town and checked out all the local shops. We found a delicatessen and patisserie shop called Lipscombe Larder. We came back here more than once, it has delicious home cooked breads and gourmet cheeses, everything you could want for an amazing picnic or cheese platter. Absolutely delicious eats for the whole family, even some little gourmet desserts. Our last full day in Tasmania, we headed to Willy Smith’s Apple Shed. It is a organically grown apples turned into delicious ciders in the Huon Valley of Tasmania. We had lunch here, and my oh my the food was incredible! I would recommend the roast pumpkin bruschetta, served with goats cheese and pesto. They have a small museum as part of the cider house, a history on the 4 generations of family that have built this business to where it is at today. For the rest of the afternoon, we wandered around Hobart, checking out the shops and old buildings, before flying back home tomorrow morning. We highly recommend Tassie for a family holiday! It was awesome to get away and go exploring, even if it was just for one week. Below are some of our favourite memories from our mini vacay. What's your favourite holiday destination to take the little ones? Let us know in the comments below!
We have had an exciting year at La de dah kids this year and much of it is thanks to the continued support of all our loyal customers so firstly THANKYOU X If you follow us on instagram @ladedahkids you will have seen that we took La de dah kids to Paris (a huge pinch yourself moment). It has been on our to do list and we where incredibly grateful for the opportunity thanks Playtime Paris for having us. We did drag our two children and my very generous Mother along for the ride. And would like to share some of our loves and travel tips. We are no experts on Paris but it has been a place that we did frequently visit when we lived in London. This was our first trip with Kids and to see Paris through their eyes was something else. Paris is both adults and Kids foodie heaven. The main diet and breakfast every morning was chocolate Croissant. We would spend every morning and afternoon checking out the various Patisseries and what was on offer everything from the most divine quiche, to chocolate everything!!! Bread is served straight from the oven often met with great lines in the afternoon for there afternoon breadsticks. Bread is served with everything. The food and wine (for the parents was definitely a highlight). Some of our tourist highlights with the kids were: Effiel tower – This is one of our favorite places to picnic whilst in Paris. It was one of our favourite things to do as a couple and it was great to do with the kids. There is so much lawn area to sit down escape some of the crowds and enjoy the view. This is a must do whilst in Paris. Arch de Triomphe – The boys loved this and admiitely it was boy heaven. All the cars in one chaotic organised mess zipping around the arch had the boys fascinated. We then strolled along the Champ Elysee where the boys got to pick a swatch watch which they are still talking about Montmartre / Sacré-Cœur. The Sacré-Cœur sits atop the summit of Montmartre, at the highest point in Paris. There is the most gorgeous carousel a must do with kids. The carousel is situated at the foot of the Hill . The climb to the top of the hill is also one not to be missed. It helps burn off some of the many Paris baked goods that you consume. At the top Montmartre is filled with artist and street performers . Paris Disney land is a fun day out with the kids .To be honest as a day trip it was also great to visit. It really was a magical day finished with the most spectacular fire works. A must for any trip to Paris for the Kids or the Kids at heart . Paris is a city that has my heart and always will. It is glamour, beauty and culture around every corner. It was an amazing trip for our family and one that had us wanting more adventures xx
7am - Overfilled with excitement and the smell of freshly baked bread, Billy Bunny awakes and hops to his feet. There is no better place than Paris to enjoy freshly baked Baguettes and croissants in the sunshine. Billy is overwhelmed and cannot wait to start his first day in Paris. 8am - Billy finds himself bouncing around the room with anticipation as he finds out he will be enjoying all of the specialities that Paris has to offer for Breakfast. This morning’s choice is Fresh Croissants and Strawberry jam bought from a local nearby Patisserie. 9am - Just as young Billy Bunny thought things could not get any better he is joined by a new friend, Amelie who will be showing him the sights of Paris and teach him all about the French culture and food. Billy’s ears are now tingling as they always do when he gets overexcited. Time to finish his french breakfast and the most delicious freshly squeezed orange juice . 10am - Billy and Amelie hit the cobbled streets and laneways scattered all over Paris. Billy is hopping from side to side across the cobbled path and his little Paws have to work very hard to keep up with Amelie’s long stride. Billy is having so much fun that he feels energised and feels like he can keep going all day, just taking in every moment. Billy does not want this day to end. 12pm - It is now midday and Amelie decides that they need to get on a train as her legs are getting tired and they still have so much to see and do. Amelie shows Billy how to buy the tickets and off they go to yet another part of Paris to see what they can find. 2pm -Both Amelie and Billy feel the need to take a break. Paris is so beautiful and all the excitement is absolutely overwhelming. They head back to the apartment for a rest and hangout with each other like good friends do. Billy loves cuddles and Amelie gives the best cuddles. 3pm - After a quick rest it is time to go and see what else they can go and explore. Amelie tells Billy about a big metal tower called the Eifel Tower. Billy has never seen such a big tower and he could not wait to climb to the top and see Paris from the tower. Apparently the sights are amazing! 5pm - After they climbed the tower Billy and Amelie sit down to a story about Paris and Amelie reflects on a great day she has had with her favourite new Bunny friend. She really enjoyed showing him around Paris and sharing everything she knew about this wonderful city she lives in. 8pm - At 8pm both Billy and Amelie are tucked up in bed like good girls and Bunnies should be. They are very tired and ready for a good nights sleep after a busy fun filled day. We cannot wait to do it all again tomorrow
